I'll Never Leave You Standing in the Darkness

~ ~
The title of this post is from a song written by Justin Nozuka called "Heartless". I love listening to his music. It always calms me down when I'm feeling stressed or overwhelmed. I feel he's gone slightly unnoticed, which is such a shame because he has an incredible voice and writes great lyrics-- true talent if you ask me :)

Here are a few pictures of the outfit I wore today. It's been so hot out recently! I was happy to cool off at Thinking Cup Cafe downtown and grab an iced chai tea latte along with a fruit tartlet.

Look of the Day: Mint Green Pants

~ ~
Got these mint green pants the other day and love the way they look! I don't typically go for expensive bottoms, but that's something I've come to reconsider. I think occasionally it's worth spending a little extra for better quality items that will last longer and feel nicer :)

Rowes Wharf

~ ~
Today started off beautiful and warm and then got kind of chilly fast! I really would like to go to the beach one of these days. This is the closest I've gotten to going to the beach in Boston this summer. I'll be visiting this area again in early July for a cruise on the Odyssey. I can't wait to see the view of the city from the water :) I'll definitely be snapping photos of the evening dinner and sunset. Anyway, below are a few pictures of yet another pretty casual outfit I put together. Looking back, I really could have added some unique jewelry (which I'm severely lacking). UO and H&M here I come ;)

Pamper Me Pretty!

~ ~
After work yesterday I walked along Newbury Street with a strong desire for some pampering products. I'm a huge fan of baths, so I stopped by Lush and Victoria's Secret and purchased some great finds :) I also made a quick run into Sephora for a new concealer that works wonders!

I purchased this concealer in the shade Medium Golden.
You only need to use a little at a time :)
From top left: Sex Bomb, Tisty Tosty, Ma Bar, and Vanilla Fountain!
...I chose these two based on how beautifully made they were. The pink one is jasmine and sage scented, and the heart shaped one has hints of rose.
...The brown and white "bar of bubbly chocolate" is actually a bath melt that smells SO delicious and creates bubbles for the tub. The yellow bath bomb has vanilla and caramel scents. I've used this twice before and I love the way it makes my skin feel afterwards.
...Finally, here are two body scrubs and a body cream from VS that I thought smelled the best. I can't wait to use them!

As Long as You Love Me

~ ~
Went out to the Longwood area with the lovely Erica yesterday! It was a perfect day spent off from commotion at work. After our little photo shoot we felt a craving for sushi and headed over to Osaka to find ourselves an early yummy dinner. I almost always get the same sushi: tuna, avocado, and tobiko. LOVE love love it. Here are some photos of the casual outfit I put together. I wore espadrilles from American Eagle that seem to have been cut off in the first photo... just wanted to add that in as a side note!

...Fulfilled my craving for the evening, but to be honest I've had better at cheaper restaurants!

The Cheesecake Factory

~ ~
My mom brought me to The Cheesecake Factory last night, and I can truly say that I have never before left a restaurant more satisfied. We ordered just the right amount of food, and we loved every single dish that came! My favorite had to be the Ahi Tartare shown below, which was the main reason we chose this restaurant. It's a MUST-try for all avocado lovers.

Shrimp Scampi: Paris Bistro-Style! Sautéed with Whole Cloves of Garlic, White Wine, Fresh Basil and Tomato. Served with [Angel Hair Pasta] White Rice.
...As you can tell, we are seafood lovers!

Lastly, here's a little gift from my boyfriend's mom that I was thrilled about :)! The scent is one of my all time favorites from Chanel.

Yesterday Brena and I ventured out to the South End to check out the Sunday market. I can't wait to return and buy more things. It's the perfect place for finding gorgeous vintage home decor for way cheap. On my list are candle holders, old mirrors, gold frames, and glass containers.

Snapshots of my favorite things from the market in the South End on Sunday:
Silverware from the mid 1900s hand-crafted into beautiful bracelets
These two antiques caught my eye. The piano shaped one turned out to be a music box

Loved this collection... kind of wishing I had purchased it!
I'm sure it was a Mad Men influence that pulled me toward this old telephone and typewriter

a bit old fashioned

~ ~
I could not figure out what to wear yesterday. For some reason I was drawn to my black scallop shorts, which I have not worn for awhile. It took me forever to find a top that would work well with it. I added a pearl necklace to top everything off. After looking in the mirror I thought to myself, how old fashioned! I think I've been watching too much Mad Men lately ;) I'm loving that show these days. There's something about the way it's filmed and the time period it takes place in that holds my attention. Anyway, here is what I threw together to see Brena at Beacon Hill. The area doesn't even feel like America. I loved it and can't wait to go back!
